I am currently trying a dairy free diet as my skin is suffering; I am isolating food groups to try and find the source of the issue. I have been experimenting with dairy alternatives and have found these simple dairy free muffins are easier than the real deal! Great for a pre-wedding diet, and a healthy snack on the go!
As we move through the seasons into Autumn it’s a good time to cleanse and then restore the body through yoga, eating habits and lifestyle choices. I want to share a few tips with you, and hopefully you will find them easily accessible and achievable.
To me, a healthy body is synonymous with a healthy mind. Some people find their happy place through running, some find it baking (Val in GBBO anyone?!) and over the years, I have found it in my yoga practice.
Yoga has been a good friend to me. Like many other young females, anxiety can sometimes get the better of me, and yoga is my method of grounding myself. It’s a personal practice, without competition, without pretence, it’s just you, your mat and your body. This is what I love about yoga, You are the master of your mind, You are focussing your energy solely on your pranayama (breath) and drishti (gaze). You are listening to your body and focussing the mind.
Well, this is my introductory post as The Wellbeing Warrior, and so I’ll start where the whole idea of this blog began.
Around two years ago, a bundle of chocolate joy bounced into our lives. Lucy our delightful and very loving Chocolate Labrador has become a very important pooch, and our house is a healthier place for her. This is because, not only does she offer unconditional love, she is also a guarantee that you will get outside for at least two decent walks a day. This is not to detract from how wonderful Lucy her-hoochie-self is, but as it has been widely covered in the world’s media, dogs are a natural antidepressant.
